To continue our rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced, client-centric Senior Account Manager to join our Employee Benefits department.
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to clients, producers and company personnel. The position serves as the direct link between the company and its clients, processing annual renewals, servicing existing claim/benefit inquiries, and resolving day-to-day client needs.
About the Position
Essential Functions:
- Understands the client benefit annual renewal process in its entirety. Small to mid-group.
- Efficient in excel, can apply/create employer contribution models during the renewal process for broker review.
- Execute full marketing effort on behalf of client in preparation of annual renewal directly with carrier and/or utilizing a GA relationship.
- Present client marketing results in an organized excel spreadsheet for broke review.
- Full understanding of carrier networks/provider searches/plan network limitations.
- Assist employers with questions that arise regarding employer benefit program.
- Promptly identify and resolve claim/billing issues on behalf of employer group & work with client and the insurance carrier until issue has been resolved.
- Act as an employee liaison to internal service teams within the benefits division.
- Full understanding of all employee benefit products; Core, Ancillary, Voluntary, FSA / HSA Cobra / Wellness Programs / EAP etc. Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability.
- Ability to prepare client presentations/Client communications/Fliers/Webinars/Benefit guides.
- Promptly respond to all employer inquiries, including any Open Enrollment, compliance and legislative questions / ACA Affordability Act / Legal Notices.
- Assist in all areas of the enrollment process, including eligibility, qualifying events, terminations, and plan design clarification.
- Able to interact with the Ease and/or client admin system and provide payroll deduction amounts to employer.
- Grow and develop talents and insurance knowledge to highest level possible.
- Provide, with a positive attitude, a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing accounts.
- Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.
- Assist prospects/insured until a producer is available.
- Keep producers fully informed of all important activities on their accounts.
- Maintain organized electronic files for each client.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Two to five years’ employee group benefit experience, knowledge of benefit enrollment systems.
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher).
Excellent listening skills and attention to detail.
Life and Health license is required.
